Welcome to Love Your Body™ Club (“LYBC”) loyalty programme operated by The Body Shop International Limited (“The Body Shop”, “we” or “us”) in the United Kingdom (the "programme"). Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By joining and participating in the programme, you agree to be bound by the below terms.
a. All members of the programme must be resident in the UK and aged 16 years or over.
b. To join the programme, you must have a valid email address. It is your responsibility to keep The Body Shop updated if your email address changes. We cannot be held responsible for any loss of points or Rewards (as defined below in clause 3(a)) incurred as a result of out-of-date details.
c. Each Member is only entitled to one programme account. The Body Shop reserves the right to refuse, merge or close additional accounts at any time.
d. Your membership is for personal use only and we may in our sole discretion refuse any applications or terminate a membership and/or cancel or reduce points at any time if we consider your transactions to be excessive and/or are for commercial or non-domestic purposes or subject to onward sale or delivery.
e. The LYBC programme, account, card, Rewards and points, in whatever form, are issued by and remain the property of The Body Shop.
f. The LYBC programme, account, card, Rewards and points are only valid for use in the UK or when shopping online at https://www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/
a. You may collect points and redeem your Rewards when shopping online at https://www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/,through our app, or at any of The Body Shop outlets in the UK except the following:
i. The Body Shop stores at Horsham and Hove
ii. The Body Shop At Home™
iii. The Body Shop concession sites within third party outlets.
b. The card, points and Rewards have no cash value and may not be exchanged for cash.
c. You must present your LYBC card or make reference to your account when you want to collect points or redeem your Rewards.
d. From time to time, we may ask you to prove your identity to ensure that the account is not used fraudulently or otherwise in breach of the terms and conditions, and to ensure the identity of the individual using the account.
e. Programme accounts, cards, points and Rewards cannot be transferred, bought, sold or in any way traded.
f. LYBC cards and Rewards are your responsibility. The Body Shop cannot be held responsible for any loss arising from the member failing to ensure the safe-keeping of these items.
g. You can check your points and Rewards in-store or by logging into your programme account at https://www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/login.
3. Points and Rewards
a. For every £1 spent at The Body Shop in a transaction using your account, you will earn 10 loyalty points. For every 500 points that you earn, your account will automatically be credited with a voucher to the value of £5 (“Reward”).
b. Points will be credited to your account within 7 days of being accrued.
c. A maximum of ten (10) Rewards can be active on an account at any given time. Where ten Rewards (the maximum) are held on an account and a new Reward is generated as a result of the number of points accrued exceeding 500, the oldest Reward on the account will automatically be removed.
d. The maximum amount of points in total that can be earned in a single day is 5,000 points, and each account has a maximum limit of 3 transactions per day when points can be earned.
e. Unless otherwise indicated, points are earned on all purchases except gift cards, delivery charges and carrier bags.
f. Your entire balance of points will expire after 12 months of non-activity in the programme. Non-activity means where, except for points expiry, there has been no transactions or activities involving points on your account, ie. no points being redeemed or earned. Expiry of points is not considered as account activity.
g. Rewards will expire after 3 months if unspent.
h. Points will be removed from your balance for any transactions with returned or refunded products.
i. Each Reward can only be used once towards the partial or full payment of products. Any remaining value of a partially used Reward will not be refunded.
j. For online transactions, each Reward can only be redeemed on transactions exceeding a total of £5.00 (i.e. £5.01 or more). For each additional Reward used, the basket total must be at least £0.01 more than the total amount being redeemed in Rewards (i.e. £10.01 or more).
k. A maximum of five (5) Rewards can be redeemed per day on an account.
l. Rewards can be used in conjunction with other promotions, offers or discounts unless otherwise stated.
m. Unless otherwise indicated, Rewards can be used to purchase any The Body Shop products, except gift cards, delivery charges or carrier bags.
n. Photocopied/illegible paper Rewards will not be accepted.
o. Birthday Reward – If you have provided your birthdate to us and made a purchase or placed an order online using your LYBC account in the 12 months prior to your birthdate, you will receive a Reward to the value of £5 during your birthday month. Birthday Rewards will expire after 1 month from the date of issue if unspent.
p. Donation to charity – Instead of spending your Rewards on products, you may choose to donate your Reward(s) to our nominated charities indicated on our website. The Body Shop will donate to such nominated charities the equivalent value of Rewards donated by programme Members. The Body Shop reserves the right to change its chosen charity partners at any time, without any notice to you. In the event that a charity chosen by you for the donation of your Rewards is no longer a partner of The Body Shop, The Body Shop may give your donations to another of its charity partners without any notice to you.
4. Termination and Expiry
a. The Body Shop reserves the right to terminate your participation in the programme: (a) if you have not used your account (to collect points or redeem Rewards) for a period of 12 months; (b) if The Body Shop believes that the use of your account is unauthorised, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful; (c) for any behaviour relating to the programme or The Body Shop that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour, or supplying false or misleading information; or (d) for any breach of these terms and conditions.
b. You can end your participation in the programme at any time by sending an email to Customer Services on firstname.lastname@example.org.
c. Upon termination or expiry of your account, all points and Rewards already accrued or issued will be cancelled.
5. Modification and Termination
a. The programme terms and conditions, member benefits, FAQs, or any other descriptions of the programme are subject to change at any time.
b. The Body Shop further reserves the right to terminate, discontinue or cancel the programme at any time and in its sole discretion. Any changes, modifications, or termination of any part of the programme or its terms will be effective immediately upon publication of those changes on The Body Shop website.
c. Your continued participation in the programme will confirm your acceptance of such changes or modifications; therefore, you should review these terms and conditions and applicable policies frequently to understand the terms and conditions that apply to the programme. If you do not agree to the amended terms, you must stop participating in the programme.
6. Personal Information and Marketing
a. We will use your personal information to manage your membership of the programme, for sales and marketing analysis and to personalise your marketing experience (where appropriate). To find out more about how we use your personal information, please see our Privacy Notice at https://www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/termsconditions/services/privacy-policy .
b. If you have opted-in to receiving marketing from us, we will contact you from time to time to send you marketing communications and keep you up-to-date with our products, promotions and special offers and with general information concerning The Body Shop. You may unsubscribe from receiving such marketing communications at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe “ link found on any marketing emails from us, logging into your account online or by contacting Customer Care with your request.
c. If you have not opted-in to receive marketing from us, we will only contact you with service information in relation to your account.
a. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, without resort to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
