How To Use

  1. In its natural state, shea butter can create crystals in the pouch. Before cutting the top and squeezing shea butter from bottom to top, warm and massage the pouch in your hands until the hard butter softens. Apply shea butter on body, hair, face and lips as often as needed, or use to create a DIY recipe . Close the bag after use.

Community Fair Trade shea butter

Intensely nourishing for dry skin and hair

Shea butter has been used for generations to help Ghanaian women protect their skin from the dry Saharan winds. Its rich texture and high fat content makes it intensely moisturising, which is good for skin and good for the community. Every 200ml tub of Shea Body Butter is packed with the butter of 36 shea nuts. It’s a lot. We counted.

We’ve been working with Tungteiya Women’s Shea Butter Association in Ghana for over 25 years. Over 600 women from the association use traditional techniques handed down through generations to handcraft the shea butter that fills our favourite Body Butters.

It was our founder, Anita Roddick, who started this partnership, and it’s something we’re really proud of.

I was hesitant to buy because I don't like the scent of your Shea butter line...but Ive been trying to find something to use on my face to hydrate and for windburn. The scent smells like playdough....then after awhile kinda smells like aquatic plants. It is not strong at all and if does bother can cover up with perfume. I don't just use on my face but love to use as a body cream. Great for dry itchy skin. I put it on my face before I head out to work...outside for 4hrs protects face and hydrates. Also no pimples with Shea butter! Even use once in a while as a night cream on face. Probably going to be repurchasing soon...going through it quickly. Great buy!

Rich and soothing for the winter dry skin

100% Natural Shea Butter

Very rich and soothing, nourishes dry skin beautifully in winter. Starts hard but warms up quickly when applied to the skin and then it is easily spreadable. Have been using it in winter for three years now.
