Shea Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub 1.7 Ounce

"My first love in bath scrubs was with a delightfully scented sugar scrub from another retailer. It was love at first use, but I always hated how oily the product was. Thus I started seeing other scrubs. And what I love about Body Shop scrubs is that even though they contain oil, the scrubby bits don't sit at the bottom of a pool of the stuff. They never leave me feeling oily before rinsing off in the shower. And the Shea scrub is by far my favorite. Leaves me feeling silky soft with a wonderful light fragrance that's not quite sweet and not quite nutty. It's even nice just to do a brief hand scrub after a long day of work. Can't get enough of the stuff!"

How To Use

  1. Turn your shower or bath into a spa ritual with Shea Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub. Suited for all skin types, it works the best on the dry skin, or if your body feels flaky or oily. Start with a warm-to-hot shower or bath to open pores, soften dead skin cells and prepare skin for exfoliation. If you plan to do hair removal, do it before using the scrub to prevent irritation or stinging. Massage Shea Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub gently on damp or wet skin. Start from below your neck and work down till the bottom of your feet with circle motions. Take a moment to enjoy its delightful nutty scent. For a more effective clean, try using this sugar scrub with a body brush, sponge, lily or loofah. Be careful not to scrub to the point of pain, but until you feel a slight abrasion. Allow the scrub to sit on the body for a couple of minutes to moisturize the skin. Rinse the body slowly using your hands under warm running water. Enjoy the feeling of the soft, smooth, and fragrant skin. Repeat 1-2 times a week. After exfoliating the body, complete your ritual with Shea Body Butter or your favorite moisturizer from The Body Shop.

Community Fair Trade shea butter

Intensely nourishing for dry skin and hair

Shea butter has been used for generations to help Ghanaian women protect their skin from the dry Saharan winds. Its rich texture and high fat content makes it intensely moisturising, which is good for skin and good for the community. Every 200ml tub of Shea Body Butter is packed with the butter of 36 shea nuts. It’s a lot. We counted.

We’ve been working with Tungteiya Women’s Shea Butter Association in Ghana for over 25 years. Over 600 women from the association use traditional techniques handed down through generations to handcraft the shea butter that fills our favourite Body Butters.

It was our founder, Anita Roddick, who started this partnership, and it’s something we’re really proud of.

I’ve been using this product for quite sometime now. However, it is not on The Body Shop website. It would be nice to have it lost it there so I don’t have to go to the store in person and get it.
