British Rose Body Butter
For normal to dry skin24hr moisture
In its own little way, our British Rose Body Butter is something of a hero, gallantly smoothing over dry skin, replacing it with that much-loved rosy-looking all-over body glow. But to save its blushes, we’ll just say this: our British Rose Body Butter is blissful nourishment for your skin.
This delicate, creamy and pearlescent formula is enriched with British rose extract so it feels as soft and succulent as velvety rose petals, with the sweet romantic scent to match. A scent that takes you back to garden parties in the summertime. Dreamy.
It’s a silky-soft hydrating machine that’s light to the touch but rich in moisture, locking it in for up to 24 hours. That’s one whole day of dewy hydration and one very happy you. But if you’re new to the whole thing and not sure how to use Body Butter, then read all about it in our helpful guide.
If a healthy-looking radiance is what you’re after, The Body Shop’s British Rose Body Butter will be right up your street. You might also love our British Rose range filled with even more sweet-scented beauties.

Community Fair Trade shea butter
Intensely nourishing for dry skin and hair
Shea butter has been used for generations to help Ghanaian women protect their skin from the dry Saharan winds. Its rich texture and high fat content makes it intensely moisturising, which is good for skin and good for the community. Every 200ml tub of Shea Body Butter is packed with the butter of 36 shea nuts. It’s a lot. We counted.
We’ve been working with Tungteiya Women’s Shea Butter Association in Ghana for over 25 years. Over 600 women from the association use traditional techniques handed down through generations to handcraft the shea butter that fills our favourite Body Butters.
It was our founder, Anita Roddick, who started this partnership, and it’s something we’re really proud of.
Our trade provides a fair price and financial independence for the women. We also pay a premium to invest in community projects, and today over 45,000 people benefit from the social fund – including healthcare, sanitation and education projects.
