Lather & Slather Shea Duo
BODY CARE GIFT SETFOR DRY SKINVEGAN
You don’t need an excuse to give somebody special the perfect gift. For those with dry skin in need of a moisturising treat, our Lather & Slather Shea Duo will love their beautiful body head-to-toe.
But this gift set doesn't just love their body. It supports our Community Fair Trade partners who helped us make it. Our nourishing Body Butter and superbly bubbly Shower Cream are enriched with handcrafted Community Fair Trade shea butter from Ghana.
Our trade helps provide financial independence to over 600 women across 11 villages. We also pay a premium on top of a fair price to help invest in community projects. Today, over 49,000 people benefit from this premium fund, including healthcare, sanitation and education projects. So far, six schools and a health clinic have been built from these investments.
Our Body Butter tub is also made with 100% recycled plastic, including Community Fair Trade recycled plastic collected off the streets of Bengaluru, India. Our partnership helps provide waste pickers with a fair price and improved working conditions.
The packaging is also FSC certified and can be widely recycled.

Community Fair Trade shea butter
Intensely nourishing for dry skin and hair
Shea butter has been used for generations to help Ghanaian women protect their skin from the dry Saharan winds. Its rich texture and high fat content makes it intensely moisturising, which is good for skin and good for the community. Every 200ml tub of Shea Body Butter is packed with the butter of 36 shea nuts. It’s a lot. We counted.
We’ve been working with Tungteiya Women’s Shea Butter Association in Ghana for over 25 years. Over 600 women from the association use traditional techniques handed down through generations to handcraft the shea butter that fills our favourite Body Butters.
It was our founder, Anita Roddick, who started this partnership, and it’s something we’re really proud of.
Our trade provides a fair price and financial independence for the women. We also pay a premium to invest in community projects, and today over 45,000 people benefit from the social fund – including healthcare, sanitation and education projects.
