Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gentle & smells great The primary reason I switched to The Body Shop Men's shower products is because I read about Phthalates & other harmful chemicals included in widely available shower products. I previously played down the harmful effects of these chemicals, but there's plenty of evidence and studies demonstrating that many common chemicals affect you to such a level that it's scandalous that mega-corporations are legally allowed to sell the stuff. (i.e. You might not be fathering children after all.) Stay away from drug store & supermarket products! I'm not sure that The Body Shop is perfect but it's a good first step in the right direction. Before The Body Shop, I was averse to showering everyday, unless necessary. I found showering every single day too harsh on the hair and skin. After switching my shampoo (Aveda) and soap (The Body Shop) I have no problem showering everyday, I really appreciate that I can do this now. So switching to this product has made a marked improvement to my day-to-day life. The Arber scent is really good. It's a masculine woody scent. I mostly smell Sandalwood and Vetiver but I'm not known for my olfactory acuity. A great fall/winter scent. The two biggest downfalls are the wimpy lather, and the price. I find that lather helps me apply the product more easily, but that could be the cost of having less chemicals. $16 for 200 mL of soap is pretty pricey. The quality of the product and the obvious improvement to my shower experience, justifies the price but it doesn't exactly inspire loyalty. I will be watching for competing products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought this for my husband and nephews last Christmas and I absolutely love the smell. I'm very sensitive to scent since I quit smoking 6 years ago and this smells so good and not overpowering. I ended up buying him the cologne too. He likes it as well and says it works fine. I wish they'd make candles with this scent, I'd buy out the store! If I could find a similar fragrance oil I could make my own candle melts. The only minor drawback is the price for the size, although I always stock up and buy when they have the buy 3 get 3 free.

For whatever reason, the notes of sandalwood are more present and obvious within the Arber Hair & Body Wash alternative than its Men's Eau De Toilette incarnation. Though I love both Men's product offerings, I am more fond of the Arber Hair & Body Wash incarnation for the aforementioned reason. This is a definite must-buy! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice scent Some men's products are equally over powering and terrible. This is not one of them! I bought this for my husband, because I liked the scent. He didn't seem to have a strong opinion, aside from saying it wasn't very good as a shampoo.
