Now made with 96% ingredients of natural origin, including Community Fair Trade mango seed oil from India, handcrafted Community Fair Trade shea butter from Ghana and Community Fair Trade Brazil nut oil from Peru, our mango body lotion leaves dry skin feeling softer, smoother and nourished with 96hr moisture. It even gives you a natural-looking glow.

We’ve also improved the scent, so you can smell like a ripe and juicy mango.

This juicy-smelling, intensely creamy Mango Body Butter now comes in recyclable packaging* made with an aluminium lid and 100% recycled plastic tub, including Community Fair Trade recycled plastic from India. This means you can love your planet every time you love that beautiful body.

This legendary natural butter comes from the cocoa plant, and melts into skin at body temperature to leave it velvety-smooth.

Community Fair Trade Shea Butter

Shea butter is that richest, creamiest of natural butters that helps our products slather your skin in love and nourishment.

Community Fair Trade Mango Seed Oil

Harvested by our partners in India, this vitamin A and E-rich oil is great for your skin.

How to use

Towel dry after exfoliating and cleansing.
Scoop out a dollop of Body Butter.
Slather over dry skin sparingly or generously.
Give dry-prone nooks and crannies like knees, elbows and feet some extra TLC.
Give it a few minutes to sink into skin before getting dressed.
Feel nourished, smoothed and softened.

Fan inconditionnelle de ce beurre corporel. L odeur est présente mais pas entêtante, ma peau qui a tendance à être sèche est délicieusement hydratée sans être grasse et ce toute la journée. J adoooore

What happened to the original Mango Body Whip? I'm so sad it's not here anymore and the reviews say the new formula is thicker and doesn't smell the same at all. The only reason I loved it is because of how soft it made my skin AND it smelled amazing. 1 answer

What does “improved the scent” mean? I’m so glad to see it’s finally vegan but this was the best and most perfect scent for the last 20+ years. Always wanted it to be vegan but I’m afraid to buy it now in case it’s no longer the same perfect scent. 5 answer

I personally was a HUGE fan of the original mango scent with the body butter. Unfortunately I find the new scent has a more perfume scent then actual mango. I wish they would have left the option to buy one or the other ☹️

I was in store recently and checked it out. I’ve I have used Mango BB for yearrrrs and I like the scent now, too. It’s similar to the classic mango fragrance - I would also dare to say I like it better (and I’m fussy with fragrances). I hope this helps!

“Improved the scent” means “changed the scent”. It does not smell the same unfortunately.

Hi there, thanks for asking! The new formula makes our Mango Body Butter now made with 95% natural origin ingredients. At The Body shop we are always looking at ways to be better and more ethical, and part of this means gradually changing some of our formulas in order to increase the number of vegan products that we have on offer. We recommend visiting one of our stores to try out the fragrance :)
