The Body Shop was founded in 1976 in Brighton, England by Anita Roddick. In 1983 The Body Shop Australia opened the doors to its first store in Howey Place in the heart of the Melbourne CBD.

Today, The Body Shop Australia has over 90 stores for you to shop from, extending across all Australian States and Territories and we are thrilled to be opening our newest store, The Body Shop Liverpool (NSW) in the coming weeks!

The recent launch of our Love Your Body Club™ see’s our customers earn points and enjoy rewards when shopping with us and proudly, our beautiful store in the Bourke St Mall Melbourne, is the largest The Body Shop in the southern hemisphere.

We are very proud of our recent Forever Against Animal Testing campaign which 380,000 Australian’s signed in support of an end to animal testing for the purpose of cosmetics. That’s 1.5% of Australia’s population participating in a global campaign that resulted in 8.3 Million signatures being presented to the UN on World Animal Day 2018. The Body Shop has been campaigning to end animal testing in cosmetics for over 30 years, so we were extremely excited to see the Australian Senate pass the Industrial Chemical Charges Bill 2017 in February 2019, effectively banning the testing of animals for cosmetic purposes in Australia. Hopefully we will see more governments around the world follow suit very soon.

You can also shop with us Online and through The Body Shop At Home™, where you can shop with us from the comfort of your own home.
