Did you know the 2021 Census excluded LGBTIQA+ people?

This furthers the invisibility of a significant part of our population.

That’s why this year we are supporting Just.Equal Australia’s
petition for the addition of three simple LGBTIQA+ inclusive
questions in the 2026 Census.

In the 2026 Census we want to see these added:
1. A separate question on sexual orientation
2. A separate question on gender identity
3. A separate question on variations of sex characteristics

ABOUT OUR CAMPAIGN PARTNER

We are proud to continue our partnership with Minus18. This year, we will be donating $15,000 to champion the Minus18 LGBTIQA+ Young Leaders program, to empower queer youth aged 18-25 to have their voices amplified, access professional development and create affirming safe spaces for queer young people across Australia, such as Queer Formal.

QUEER FORMAL 2023

Queer Formal is a life-affirming, identity-celebrating night for LGBTIQA+ young people (aged 12 to 19) to make friends, connect to community, dance the night away, and be their true selves.
