At least 4,000 women and girls are trafficked into the UK each year and forced into prostitution. Trafficking for sexual exploitation doesn't just affect women, children are trafficked too.
Anita's campaigning spirit lives on
Before her sad death, Anita Roddick, our Founder, was actively involved in the campaign to stop this modern day slavery. We are proud to carry on her work, and in 2007 we ran a campaign to support the Helen Bamber Foundation called “Trafficking is Torture”

The Helen Bamber Foundation
The Helen Bamber Foundation work with survivors of genocide, torture, trafficking and rape who seek safety and refuge. They help the women and children they meet draw upon their inner resources, providing them with practical support and treatment to deal with their pasts and build new futures.
Helen Bamber
Helen Bamber began working with survivors in Belsen over 60 years ago. She has been named European Woman of Achievement and awarded the Lifetime's Achievement in Human Rights. She is the founder and former director of the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims and Torture
